Remote-controlled bomb kills 4 Americans, hurts 5 in Khost

PAKTIA, Mar. 13 - At least 4 Americans troops were killed and 5 were seriously hurt on Thursday, Mar. 11, 2010, as a roadside bomb set off through remote control device struck the lead tank of the U.S convoy traveling on the road in Mabndiya area near Ali Sher district of Khost province struck.

The witnesses said the dead and wounded had been airlifted from the area of the blast while the wreckage of the struck tank had kept burning at the site till later that day.

Also on Thursday, two Afghan soldiers were killed and another two injured as their vehicle hit a roadside bomb planted in the road near Lakanu area of Khost city.
Indeed, as many as 25 American soldiers were killed and injured in a martyr bomb attack carried out by a brave Mujahid of the Islamic Emirate the other day on U.S. base near Babrak Tana, in Khost province.
