13 policemen killed in Khost province

KHOST, Feb. 28 - A series of bombings inflicted deadly losses on the police force throughout Saturday and Sunday in Khost province.

According to the details, two policemen were killed on Sunday morning when their vehicle got blown up in a remote-controlled bomb attack causing the vehicle to get smashed into pieces in Arni Khel area of Ali Sher district, Khost province.

Similarly, two policemen were killed on Saturday as their ranger vehicle ran over one of the planted mines in Qasabanu Chowk near Khost city.

In another incident elsewhere in Khost province, some 5 policemen were killed in an attack by Mujahideen while the police were trying to neutralize a Mujahideen's planted mine in Dwa Mandu district of this province.
