476 inmates escape from Afghan prison, Taliban claims responsibility

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Over 470 inmates escaped from a prison in Kandahar, south of Afghanistan early Monday, an official said.

"Some 476 inmates made their good escape from the Kandahar jail early today," chief of the Kandahar jail Ghulam Dastgir Mayar told Xinhua.

He also admitted that the prisoners made their escape after digging a hole.

Meantime, deputy to Kandahar provincial police chief Shir Shah Yusufzai told Xinhua that so far eight escaped prisoners had been re-arrested.

Some 1,000 inmates, according to an official who declined to give his name, had been held in the Kandahar jail. This is the third time that the Kandahar jail has been attacked over the past few years and the detainees have been able to escape.

On the other hand, Qari Yusuf Ahmadi who claims to speak for the Taliban outfit stressed that over 500 Taliban detainees have escaped from the jail.

In talks with media via telephone from an undisclosed location, the Taliban purported spokesman emphasized that militants, after digging a 360-meter long tunnel, enabled 541 militants including 106 commanders to escape.

Kandahar, the former stronghold of Taliban, is the second major base of the NATO and U.S. troops after Bagram, in Afghanistan.

Response of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Reaction to Senator Lindsay Graham Remarks to Maintain US Permanent Bases in Afghanistan

Wednesday, January 05, 2011

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

A Republic Senator Lindsey Graham in an interview with NBC Television has said that USA should maintain permanent military bases in Afghanistan. He has claimed, the bases would be beneficial for the region and in the combat against the Taliban. His remarks definitely lifts the curtain from the colonialist motives of America which the Islamic Emirate has been trying in the past decade to draw to them, attention of the people of the world. In fact, the invading America wants to establish her dominance over the region and the world under the so-called war on terror. Thus, they are trying to deprive the masses from their inalienable rights. In view of this, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan would like to spell out its response as follows:

1. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan categorically rejects the suggestion by the Republican senator. America’s intention to maintain permanent bases in Afghanistan would mean extending the occupation indefinitely. This illegitimate step is never acceptable to any Islamist and patriotic Afghan. The Muslim people of Afghanistan and the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate will continue their struggle against the occupation and other ploys of America until and unless Afghanistan wins its deserved place among the comity of nations as an independent country.

2. The maintenance of permanent bases in Afghanistan by America will (not) usher in law and order situation as well as social, cultural and economic problems for Afghanistan and the region. They will deprive the regional people of their natural economic and academic advancement. Current explosions at congested places in cities, mosques, religious seminaries and demonstrations are the ugly upshot of the invading America’s plots. Therefore, neither the people of the region nor the freedom-loving Afghans will ever accept the permanent bases in Afghanistan.

3. Remarks by high-ranking figures of the invading America elucidates the fact that the war on terror was a phony drama conceived and staged by Washington. Their real goal was to occupy Afghanistan and maintain domination over the region. The relevant facts crop up one by one with the passage of time. The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate will continue their struggle against these conspiracies until they reach a victorious end.

4. The invading America and her Allies have no capability to face the Mujahideen in a broad day light in view of their constant frustration during the decade-long showdown of muscles. They raid houses in the stillness of the night, killing innocent Afghans. Therefore, in this critical phase , we request all countries of the region and the world to grant due recognition to the struggle of the people of Afghanistan against colonialism and render all-sided moral and financial assistance with this movement because the current Jihad is, undoubtedly, a liberation struggle for all freedom-loving humanity at regional and global level.

5. The tempo of economic and industrial progress is going to shift from America and Europe to Asia in the near future. This economic impetus needs raw material. Hence, the invading America wants to bring under her belly the natural resources of Afghanistan, ostensibly, under the name of war on terrorism, thus intending to coerce regional countries to agree to the colonialist objectives and strings of America. Similarly, they want to deprive the Afghan people of access to their natural resources and compel them live in poverty and misery. Therefore, the Mujahid people of Afghanistan will never allow the invading America to plunder their natural resources and take their freedom.

6. We are ready to enter into transparent bilateral agreements with other countries on the basis of national interests and economic profitability for the extraction of the said natural resources.

7. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is a responsible force. We assure all regional countries that we will maintain good relations with them in light of the lofty rules of ethics of Islam, following our obtaining independence. Meanwhile, we urge them not to be beguiled by America to give consent to establishment of American permanent bases in Afghanistan under the unjustified name of war on terror. The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate are neither exhausted nor have become weak in their legitimate struggle.

October 7 is Continuation of December 27

Thursday, December 30, 2010

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

31 years ago, on 27 December, the Red Army of the former Soviet Union invaded the land of the Muslim Afghan people by violating its sanctity. They resorted to committing genocide, torture and oppression against the miserable people of Afghanistan soon after that. For ten years, they had been carrying out brutalities and atrocities. But with the help of Allah (SwT) and the sacrifices of 1.5 million Afghans, the Red Army was forced to pull out of Afghanistan. Not only that. Many Muslim and non-Muslim countries which were chafing under the yoke of communism for many decades, found their independence once more. Thus the empire of atheism broke into smithereens.

Today the former Soviet union is no more thanks to the Jihad of the Afghans, nor traces of the Warsaw military pact exist but despite that, Afghanistan has been burning in the flames of war, notwithstanding the colossal sacrifices of 1.5 million martyrs of the Afghan people, immigration of 6 million Afghans and many millions becoming disabled, handicapped, with women becoming widows and mothers losing their sons.

This time NATO under the leadership of America have invaded Afghanistan by dent of 150,000 troops. They have unleashed atrocities and brutalities on the Afghans since 7 October 2001; have martyred more than 200,000 Afghans; have tortured hundreds of thousands of Afghans in prisons in Afghanistan and other countries. This spell of brutality has still been continuing.

Yesterday, the former Soviet Union’s Red Army had occupied our country under the tutelage of Warsaw Pact but today the Americans have taken the land of the Afghans as hostage under the arrangement of NATO.

Yesterday, the Russians claimed, there was a foreign interference in Afghanistan and called the armed opposition as the mischief-makers but today America calls her invasion of Afghanistan as a war on terror and calls the armed opposition as terrorists.

Yesterday, the Russians had usurped the freedom and our national independence and used to determine the fate of Afghanistan in the corridors of Kremlin but today, the Americans have left the Russians behind in their brazenness to clasp the fate of Afghanistan in their reprehensible tentacles.

The fate of Afghanistan is determined in Washington, London and Bruxel. Yesterday a flag had been hoisted on the presidential palace in Kabul which was claimed to be the flag of Afghanistan and today another stooge flag is fluttering on the presidential palace. The Russians said, their presence in Afghanistan had not negated the independence of Afghanistan.

American and NATO officials claim the presence of 150,000 troops and the current brutalities unleashed by them to be the signs of their friendship and sympathy. They do not consider the presence of troops as a foreign force. A few elements who are Afghans by name only, called the Russian forces as being the friends of Afghanistan in an effort to support their presence in the country.

Today, some debased elements who are Afghans by name condone the presence of thousands of soldiers of America and NATO. They are trying to find a palatable interpretation for the callous military operations, aerial bombardment, detentions and violation of the Afghan values. The invading Americans carve out justifiable pretexts for these atrocities. But the Russians including the Warsaw Pact along with their tactics and strategies, brutalities, surrogates like Khalq and Parchm failed to afford constantly facing the Mujahid Afghan people but received a historical defeat. Their mastership at world level came to an end. Today, the Americans are following the footsteps of the former Soviet Union and hovering over the moribund edge of erosion--their strength played out, their arrogance is on the collapse and their ambitions of mastership debilitating. They are seeking a way out of the country.

While condemning both the invaders and their lackeys of the 27 December and showing our deep resentments in this regard, we pay our deep tribute to the sacrifices of the Afghan Mujahid people. We believe October 7 was continuation of December 27 invasion. The Americans and NATO will face the fate of the former Soviet Union and the world will be saved from their claws of mischief-making and colonialism.

--Black be the faces of the invaders and the puppets of the invasions both of 27 December and 7 October.

Statement of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Regarding the Condemnation of the 31st Anniversary of the Red Army Invasion of Afghanistan

Sunday, December 26, 2010

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The 6th Jaddi (the Hijri Lunar year) which coincides with 27th December, is the day of the former Soviet Union’s aggression against Afghanistan. Three decades ago, on this day, 700 soldiers of the Red Army dressed in the uniform of the Afghan Army killed Hafizulla Amin, the former communist ruler of Afghanistan at Taj Beg Palace, near the capital Kabul. With this, 80,000 Red Army soldiers entered Afghanistan through land and air which, at one point, reached 150,000 soldiers. To confront the coward aggression of their northern neighbor--the former Soviet Union-- the Afghans chose the path of armed Jihad as per the requirement of their religious obligation and other humane values. The Soviets’ invasion expedited the tempo of the struggle which had already been going on against the communist government, giving it a new impetus.

The Soviet troops remained engaged in a military muscle showdown against the freedom- loving and Islamist people of Afghanistan almost for ten years from December 1979 to February 1989. After passage of a few years; reviewing and revision of new strategies and troops re-enforcement, they were not able to have a tangible achievement. Contrarily, the situation had slipped into a deepening crisis, following the prolongation of the war and expansion of battles. The decrepit Soviet Union’s economy was not strong enough to fund the aggression. Hence, the last ruler of the former Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbacheve admitted the bitter reality in 1989, saying openly, the crisis of Afghanistan was a bleeding wound for the Soviet Union. He promised to put an end to the invasion.

The struggle against the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan and the Soviets ultimate defeat came to be known epically as the miracle of the century. The Afghans proved once again as saviors of the world from the fangs of another global anaconda. The rulers of the Soviet Union themselves conceded that historically, the invasion was their big mistake—ushering in collapse of the empire existing by the name of the Soviet Union; bringing to and end the rule of the communist empire in central Asia and Eastern Europe ; dissolving the Warsaw pact and crumbling into pieces the Wall of Berlin . Consequently, the spell of awe and fear from the Soviet Union which had gripped the globe, melted away simultaneously.

After the disintegration of the Red Empire, as a result of the Afghan Jihad, the stage was set for the Western Empire under the leadership of USA to exercise unipolarism and arrogance in the world. Instead of taking a lesson from the shameful end of the invading Soviets, the American arrogant authority, contrarily, turned to colonizing and oppressing miserable people. This gun boat approach on the part of the Americans led to the Americans attacking the miserable people of Afghanistan like the former Soviet Union had done this before; to commence a bloodbath against the oppressed people and occupy the country itself by dent of advanced weapons. The Americans did fulfill their wicked designs practically. At the start, like the former Soviet Union, they had thought, that it was easy to swallow and ingest Afghanistan.

The present rulers of the setting puppet regime had encouraged the White House to invade Afghanistan. Thus, they deceived them and used their power for realization of their own whims of power-grabbing. Even now, they are trying to keep the Americans unaware of the ground realities in Afghanistan--encouraging them to unleash further atrocities and brutalities on the common people.

The Global insatiable colonialism as per its trait has deprived the brave people of Afghanistan of their freedom, ironically, under the misleading slogan of democracy. They have packed the prisons of Kandahar, Bagram and other tens of prisons with the innocent Afghans; has brought about an atmosphere of terror and fear throughout the country as a result of night raids against the houses of the common people. They think, the tactic of terrorizing and oppressing people will vouchsafe them victory, or they will subjugate the Afghans through force and coercion. But despite their showdown of their military might during the past decade, neither they have stabilized the country nor did they silence the Jihadic resistance of the Afghans. If God willing, Afghanistan will prove to become a bleeding wound for the invaders once again. The global colonialist power will breathe its last here.

On this 31st anniversary of the former Soviet Union’s invasion, while condemning the invasion of the Soviets, and believing it as an incendiary spark which kept the 3-decade long war of Afghanistan ignited, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, meanwhile, remind the Americans to learn lesson from the shameful fate of the invading Soviets by using sagacity and rationale and immediately pull their invading troops out of Afghanistan.

When the Dead are Living and the Living are Dead

Sunday, December 26, 2010

By Ahmad Bawadi

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The dead live by their words, and what their fingertips have written. They live by the truth of their words and the steadfastness of their attitudes despite the demise of their bodies and the ascension of their souls. The words written by their white hands will endure and revive and awaken hope after they have sacrificed themselves, their wealth, their blood and their worldly life for the sake of what they wrote, (which emanated) from their firm values and deep seated principles in the cause of the Deen. On that day, although they are dead, Islam and the Muslims shall triumph through them. The people of faith will be glorified and the people of shirk and idolatry will be debased and life will be honorable and dignified. Their blood and their sacrifices are the fuel and the fire that will eliminate injustice and take away sorrow and pain. Justice will prevail and the oppressed will be victorious. The prisons will be emptied and the afflicted set free. Their will not be any loss of rights, and neither tax nor toll.

When the living are dead, although their bodies are still walking on the earth, they have no life. Their hearts are dead because they exist only for their own whims, comforts and cravings. They have collected the wages of their employment, the wages given for their sermons and fatwas, for their insolence against Islam and the defenders of the Deen. They were abstemious and the price was cheap: a few dirham or fame mixed with the blood of the noble and the free. They fall before the Lord of all creation in their councils and on their satellite networks while they are drowning in error from the soles of their feet to the crowns of the heads. They remove (people from Islam), mislead them and make them jahili. From their own mouths all who oppose them are foolish-minded or young. They speak of the good qualities of those who demolish the Deen, while maintaining silence over their wicked deeds and the tools used in their work of destruction. This is no surprise when they themselves are the subversive tools in the hands of those wreckers. Among them, the people of truth and conviction are people of deviation and clear error.

When the cowardly has left the land forsaken...only discredit and conflict will be sought when they are the ones who speak of the condition of the Ummah and the state of the Muslims. Islam and the Muslims will be humiliated and life will be one of ignominy and abuse. It will become nothing but submission, subjection and servility.

Countries will be occupied and the Quran defiled. That which is sacred will be sullied, the pure maidens will be raped and honor will be ravaged in order to revive from death Laka’ Ibn Laka’ upon the skulls of the innocent, the blood of the noble and the deaths of the guiltless. At their hands will come the day in which Islam will be washed away as a garment is washed away and neither fasting nor charity; nor piety will be understood. But they (will) meet a poor fate and come to a bad end, with the permission of the One, the Benefactor, as their wages for what they have done to the Ummah, for the blood they have spilled with their fatwas, for their silence about the truth and for the assistance they have rendered to falsehood. Yet, they will think that they have done well: “Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good…” Ibn Abu Dawud (he of the fitna of the creation of the Quran) lived on the blood of al-Bawayti (a student of Imam al-Shafa’i, may Allah Almighty have mercy on him) and although he was famed for his learning, eloquence and munificence, he was nonetheless of wicked intention and corrupt creed so none of that benefited him and he came to a bad end because of how he criticized, harmed and slandered the people of truth and faith.

Sayyid Qutb was one of whom it was believed that his words would be killed and their letters erased from hearts and minds. Yet, his words have endured as if they were carved in rock and stone. The words of those who attempted to destroy his honor and his writings, however, have died, even though they were seduced by his writings and his books. They stole from them and pretended that they came from their own thoughts. Allah has exposed them, disgraced them and sullied their houses. They are dead even though they are still alive, while Sayyid Qutb lives even though he is dead.

Sayyid Qutb paid the price of his words with his own blood. As for those who received their wages for their speeches, books and articles criticizing Sayyid, and those who stole his words and collected their salaries from the publishing houses, or promoted themselves and earned a reputation on the satellite networks by criticizing him: Sayyid Qutb is living even though he is dead and they have died even though some of them are still living.

Many of the sons of this Da’wa lived, and their words lived with them, when they revived among people the glory of the Deen, and it was accepted and resonated. The righteous and the truthful gathered about them and on that day purity was not mingled with the defects of this world and it was not polluted with disturbances caused by whims or fancies or patchwork fatwas of favoritism. The Word of Truth and sincerity in counsel were the intent of the faithful. They lived and their words lived as beacons of light and guidance, and the people of piety and faith followed in their footsteps.

Other followers of this Da’wa lived, and they were held with affection and esteem in people’s hearts. When suddenly (this affection) it declined and receded and was taken by death and they suffered and sighed the moans of death. Perhaps someone will rescue or pay attention to it. Suddenly it becomes nothing more than a memory killed by its masters after they chose the life of their bodies over the life of their words and after they chose to live by principles and ideas of the West, the logic of the mind and the pretext of rationalism. They claim, to show favoritism for and to flatter the people of innovation and error, that they had changed their paths and turned their ideologies and ideas upside down. They shed their values and principles; and the secularists gathered around them. They became the boon companions of the secularists and the liberals and, by their words, became secularists themselves. Their pulpits were the MBC and IBC networks and they became jurists of beggary (fuqaha’ al-tasawwul) so that the righteous and true abandoned them. None remain in their life except some of the duped, the seduced; the secularists, the liberals and the democrats. So they have died while they are still alive. Their fatwas are circulated by the soldiers of the marines, by the vulgar; the men of surrender and treachery, and the people of defeat. They meet on the satellite networks and criticize those whose field is the arena of Jihad and martyrdom. Birds of a feather flock together.

Ahmed Ibn Hanbal (Imam of the Ahlus Sunnah) has died and the head of fitna Ibn Abu Dawud (of the fitnah of the creation of the Quran) has died and Bishr Mirisi (a Mu’tazalite sheikh) have died. Yet, what Ahmed bin Hanbal wrote lives and is redeemed by the truth of what his fingertips wrote and his tongue spoke. His words have been redeemed by his body when he was flogged, imprisoned and tortured by the executioners and his memory lives.

Ibn Abu Dawud and those with him died after they spent their lives in the palace of the sultan living on the screams and pain of Ibn Hanbal while they themselves dwelt in comfort. Their ideas and beliefs died with them and they have no worth except begging, injustice, subjugation to slavery and love of passions. How can such a worth bear any remnant of the truth? Ibn Abu Dawud died imprisoned inside his own paralyzed body which for four years did not possess the power to move.

As for Ibn Taymiyya, his memory is immortal, Allah permitting, until Allah inherits the earth and those upon it. He composed his message of astightaha, but the people of innovation and whim were not impressed, as is indeed the case with them always and everywhere. So Ali bin Yaqub al-Bakari attacked him; Ibn Taymiyya, declared him kaffir and demanded his death. But the rulers joined forces and incited the people, stirring them against (al-Bakari). He was reviled, cursed and imprisoned. They went to great lengths to harm him until they gathered with the mob against him. They struck him and did him harm until he was exposed and fled. When the earth pressed around him he could find none but Ibn Taymiyya, in whose house he hid. Allah has exalted the memory of Ibn Taymiyya and his message lives. His enemies have died and their ideas have died with them.

Those ones sacrificed for the sake of their words and their writings. They did not eat by them and they did not beg through the ink of their books. They avoided uncertain (shibh) and forbidden (muharramat) areas. They did not find their nourishment in the efforts of others or from reviling harming or slandering them. They did not accept a price from the depravity and pleasures of this world. They threw all of that behind them, as opposed to their opponents who – because they cursed, reviled and criticized the people of truth, faith and Jihad and because they favored the people of falsehood, error and deviation – are consigned to oblivion.

Response of the Islamic Emirate in Reaction to the UNO Recent Report on Civilian Casualties

Thursday, December 23, 2010

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

The United Nations Organization has claimed in its recent report that, the graph of civilian casualties in Afghanistan has spiraled up by 20% in the first ten months of the current year in comparison to the same period last year. The report is one among series of reports released in this regard.

The UN has not given information about the credibility of the original sources of the data but added that in the current year, 2412 civilians have been killed in battles in Afghanistan, 76% by Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate (as per their claim).

This partial and politically-motivated report of the United Nations has been published in a time that the UNO is yet to respond to the reservations and concerns raised by the Islamic Emirate regarding the UN reports on civilian casualties. Ironically, the UNO has been continuing to publish such reports for the past years, accusing Mujahideen of having committed civilian casualties. The Islamic Emirate believes, these repots are politically- motivated and tailored to meet the interests of America. So its has demanded an investigation to find out the veracity of the reports. Unfortunately, the UNO has constantly been publishing baseless reports and is not ready to take steps to substantiate their credibility and trustworthiness.

Once again, the so-called advocates of human rights have raised the issue of civilian casualties for achievement of political and propaganda points but are not ready to tackle the issue practically and conduct investigation in this respect. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan believes, the recent report of the United Nation is based on figures, being their own guesswork, and, therefore, categorically refutes them.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is of the opinion that the release of the report is a propaganda stint aimed at concealing American brutalities. In the past nine years, the invaders have killed tens of thousands of civilians which tantamount to a genocide, which is still under way at the hands of the merciless Americans as per a well-laid out plan, particularly, it has been going on in far-fetched rural localities and villages in the past few years to terrorize people so that they will have to abstain from struggling against the foreign invasion and occupation of Afghanistan for the obtainment of their legitimate rights and independence.

The operations by the enemy in Kandahar and the night raids strategy of the American general Petraeus is an example on hand. As a result, thousands of civilian Afghans have been martyred, wounded, made homeless and detained. A great number of common people have lost their lives, as a result of cruise missiles attacks, carpet bombing and armed encounters during the Kandahar operations by the enemy. Whole villages have been razed to ground. Almost 50% of inhabitants of Dand, Panjwai, Zeray and Arghandab districts have been displaced from their homes and hearths and from their plantation fields.

The Islamic Emirate is intending to release a video film in near future about all these civilian casualties. This is an iceberg of the crimes which are being perpetrated by the American invaders in all parts of the country around the clock. Undoubtedly, the UNO authors of the civilian casualties report may not have bothered to have an inkling of what have actually happened.

We openly tell the UN, your report will be effective only in misleading those who are not interested in knowing the ground realities in Afghanistan. But the people Afghanistan have been witnessing the realities with their own eyes. They know pretty well the identity of those who are notoriously and historically known as murderers at world level; those who have built the walls of their empire on the skulls and blood of the masses; those who have pushed the people of Iraq and Afghanistan and all miserable and peace-loving people of the globe into the oven of war.

The Islamic Emirate believes, the release of these partial reports will only damage the credibility of the UNO. They have already harmed the World Body and it will further lose its veracity in the eyes of the people.

Obama's Annual Review of the Afghanistan Strategy Inflated and Wishful

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Last week, US president Obama tried to show the ground realities of the war in Afghanistan distortedly in the eyes of the people of the world, the Americans and the Afghans. This he did in an effort to produce an inflated review of the war in Afghanistan and the overall situation there. He manipulated his retreats, humiliation and failures in all parts of Afghanistan in a manner to appear as being gradual gains and advancement. Two American secretaries of State Department and the Defense, were standing besides him as false witnesses at a ceremony held at the White House to unveil the annual strategy review. He wanted to show that the current year was a period of hopes and gains in comparison with the last year, saying they had had spectacular achievements both at military and political fronts.

In his efforts to justify the current American illegitimate and contemptible war in Afghanistan in a 5-pages review, American president Obama, could not produce or present any proof and reason to indicate a concrete and tangible change and advancement in the country that has occurred this year and which the world does not know as yet. American generals and NATO high-ranking officials admit that, that their casualties graph has spiraled up threefold comparing previous years. The Mujahideen have become more strengthened; their fighting manpower has increased; their media is now more effective and their influence among the masses has augmented.

As far as the political front is concerned, the public opinions at world level go against the current war of Afghanistan. Pressing oppositions to the war raise up from all parts of the world, urging the Afghan war could not be won through military muscles showdown. At the diplomatic front, this is an achievement for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. On the other hand, the NATO recent meeting in Lisbon and the decision to withdraw foreign forces from Afghanistan in 2014, itself negates the boastful annual review of Obama and are concerti proofs, refuting his bragging.

The public opinion in America and Europe, in general, condemn the war of Afghanistan and consider the strategy of Obama as being meaningless. Therefore, some close allies of America are determined to pull their forces out of Afghanistan until the end of 2011. Verily, Obama is feeling jittery on seeing the new developments and thinks America is going to face being left abandoned in the time to come, so in his annual review, he falsely claimed that another event on the line of 9/11 is in the offing. We should prevent it from happening and should not end the war in Afghanistan. This he did in order to compel his Allies to carry on the current war. Furthermore, a recent opinion poll conducted by CBC and Washington Post reveals 65% Americans are in favor of pull-out of Americans troops from Afghanistan. This has made American secretary of Defense Robert Gates run amok, telling media in reaction to the poll, the other day, we know our mission and vision very well and are not going to allow public opinion to get in its way.

Observers believe, Obama annual review of the strategy is devoid of facts and grounds realties. It is an inflated and fatuous propaganda stint through which he tries to hide his failures; distract the attention of the public of America and the world and keep the public opinions engaged in an illusive hope. But all are aware that the American rulers are grappling with deep worries and trouble and feel being left in the lurch. A clear example for our claim is Holbrook’s death-bed confession and his speaking of problems and worries in the war of Afghanistan and calling for its peaceful solution.

Taliban supports Afghan protest over Quran burning in U.S.

KABUL, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Taliban outfit fighting Afghan and NATO-led troops in Afghanistan supported demonstrations over Quran burning in the United States, a statement of the outfit sent to media on Wednesday said.

"It was a clear violation of the belief of 1.5 billion inhabitants (Muslims) of the world and should have called for a harsh punishment for the perpetrators," the statement said.

The statement added that "the Afghan people in the last few days showed that they would never remain indifferent as regards their sacrosanct but are ready to offer every sacrifice in their defense."

Issued by Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the name of the ousted Taliban regime, the statement stated, "The Islamic enthusiasm, ideological conscience and resurgence shown by the Afghan people, as a matter of pride and satisfaction and commends the efforts made and the sacrifices offered in the cause of the Holy Quran."

In the demonstrations staged in several Afghan cities including the capital city Kabul since April 1, according to officials, 22 people including seven staff of United Nations have been killed and 143 others including a UN employee sustained injuries.

Some officials including the government of northern Balkh province Atta Mohammad Noor and head of Kandahar's Provincial Council Ahmad Wali Karzai have not ruled out the involvement of Taliban militants, saying the insurgents have exploited the situation to destabilize security.
